Investigation of the effect of courage behaviors on endurance levels of canoe athletes

Background and Study Aim. Courage in sports is a concept that has attracted lot of attention recent years. It very important for the athletes to reveal their psychological performance as well physical technical skills during competition or training times. In this context, research terms revealing mental endurance courage levels canoe who struggle not only with competitors but also natural conditions.
 Material Methods. The sample consists 163 volunteer selected by simple random sampling method. order collect necessary data research, “Courage Sports Scale” was used. scale sub-dimensions 'competence', 'determination', 'aggression', 'taking risk' 'being self-sacrificing'. T-test ANOVA test were used analysis data. Statistically, error level accepted p<.05 significance Alpha (α).
 Results. study, it determined perception scores athlete students between components close each other. No statistically significant results found all according gender weekly duration variables. According age variable: result dimensions determination assertiveness, stability variable doing sports. education variable, there no difference risk-taking sub-dimension. There differences other sub-dimensions.
 Conclusions. Without ignoring acquisition such courage, should be included programs from an early supported training. issues educators (coaching courses, seminars, etc.) importance emphasized.
